Downclimbing the CMC

According to the Climber's Guide to the Teton Range, the descent route for the CMC climb is to downclimb the ascent route. Note to self...next time you read something like this think twice about doing the climb. In my opinion, and I am sure other climbers will agree, downclimbing is much more difficult and stressful that climbing up. I do not know what it is in particular, maybe the akwardness or maybe feeling the exposure more when you look at it face to face, but downclimbing stresses me out 10 times as much as climbing upwards. But we did make it down safely albeit slowly and with great stress...I think I lost a couple years on my life worrying about this downclimb. Here you can see Brad scrambling downward on the CMC face.
