After an absolutely grueling 8 mile, 5,000 foot (that's 5 empire state buildings!) ascent through Garnet Canyon, we finally neared the Lower Saddle. Here we can see climbers ascending the scree just before the fixed rope on the Lower Saddle. The huge icefield in view is called the Middle Teton Glacier. The plains of Jackson Hole can be seen 5,000 feet below in the distance.
