We started off at the Nigel Creek Trailhead and had ~ 7 miles and ~1100 feet elevation gain to our campsite at Boulder Creek Campground. We hiked through forest and meadows before starting the ascent to Nigel Pass. The weather changed about every half hour and we kept stopping to put on/take off rain gear. As we were ascending the pass it was raining/sleeting/snowing and getting windier and I was beginning to think that this wasn't so much fun, but as we topped out the skies opened up and the sun was shining -- and it was still snowing. Odd, but beautiful.
