On to Plan B. We decided to do some day hiking in Banff National Park, which is better for hiking than Jasper (Jasper is better for backpacking). We were already at the border of the parks for the Brazeau Loop, so it wasn't far to our first day hike: Lake Helen.

Before heading off to the trailhead we stopped at Bow Lake for sunrise.
