Once we descended Darwin Bench we got to hike on a maintained trail for the first time in 5 days. We dropped down onto the John Muir Trail, and began our hiked through the famed Evolution Valley, one of the most popular destinations in the entire Sierra Nevada. Our entire hike through the Evolution Valley was under threatening skies, but it made for some dramatic lighting and scenery. The day culminated in a snow storm at Wanda Lake, which sits just under Muir Pass.
