We thought it would be easy to get to the top of Alpine Col, turns out not so much. We spent about two solid hours nonstop teetering from one loose refigerator size boulder to the next. The route wasn't particularly technical, but physically is was quite demanding while sporting a 50 pound pack. This is a sample of our route across the boulder fields and up to Alpine Col.
