The view from Merriam Peak was spectacular. We could see several of the Royce Lakes to the North, and much of our route planned for the days ahead to the south. Royce Peak was our next objective, and can be seen in the left side of this photo. Brad and I did pretty well coming from sea level to 13,000 feet in around 30 hours, a little short of breath but no headaches.
