While Steve was exploring the Beartooth Plateau, Norah, my parents, and I took a day trip to Cody. We drove the scenic Chief Joseph highway through the Sunlight Basin and it was a pretty drive.
We had heard only great things about the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and it did not disappoint. It's essentially five separate museums (Buffalo Bill, Greater Yellowstone Natural History, Western Art, Plains Indians, Firearms) and you would really need several days to take it all in. We made it through three wings and I was impressed with the layout, displays, variety, and all the wonderful artifacts and memorabilia. It definitely warrants a repeat visit!
