It was only 150 miles to Bethel, but it took us over three hours to get there. We had initially thought we'd do a hike, but with a later than expected arrival we opted to do some other activities. Coincidentally, the ski lift had just opened at Sunday River. Most people were taking their mountain bikes up on the lift. We rode up on a chair and down in a gondola. Norah was hesitant at first, but then seemed to enjoy the ride. The views of the Mahoosuc Mountains were nice.
