In between our stays in Lake O'Hara and Mt. Assiniboine we spent two nights in Canmore. On one day we hiked to Burstall Pass. This hike isn't in the Lake Louise area, but this is the gallery it fit the best. The trail is in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park and the pass lies on the border of Peter Lougheed and Banff National Park.
The trailhead is about a 45 minute drive on Smith-Dorriean/Spray Lakes Road from Canmore. The road is gravel and has many beautiful views, lakes and camping spots. This is Burstall Lake on the first part of the trail.
