We returned to the Cape for our third visit over Memorial Day. We camped four nights at Nickelson State Park in Brewster, MA. This sounded like a good idea when we booked the campsite months ago, but as the weekend neared the forecast was not favorable. Cold, wind, and rain - sure lets go camping and to the beach! In between rain showers we caught a little sun, which tided us over until we had gorgeous weather Monday and Tuesday. We enjoyed exploring the tidal flats on the bay side, the waves on the ocean side, and lots of seafood and ice cream. Our final itinerary:

Friday: Arrive in the evening, set up tent in rain

Saturday: Breakfast at Hole in One (Orleans), watched Epic the movie, wandered around on some trail in Yarmouth until we realized we didn't know where we were, quick visit to Grey's Beach, dinner at Sesuit Harbor Cafe, dessert at the Chocolate Sparrow

Sunday: lunch at the Daily Paper (Hyannis), burned time at Wings and Barnes and Noble until the rain cleared, Steve went for a 25 mile run on the rail trail while Norah and I played on Paine's Creek Beach, picked up Steve and had dinner at Moby Dicks, a very windy sunset at First Encounter Beach

Monday: Clear skies! Sun! morning spent exploring the tidal flats at Skaket Beach, lunch at a nearby park, afternoon at Le Count Hollow Beach (National Seashore), dinner at Mac's on the Pier in Wellfleet, sunset at Skaket Beach

Tuesday: walking the John Wing trail and tidal flats, lunch at the park, one last stop at Paine's Creek Beach and Kate's for ice cream, then on our way home
