Tsum Valley is located in the Gorkha district in northern-central Nepal, between Ganesh Himal and Manaslu Himalayan ranges. Open for tourism only in 2007 the area has relatively weakly developed tourist infrastructure. The entire region was badly damaged in the 2015 earthquake (the earthquake epicentre was located c.a. 30 km from the entrance to the Valley). Rebuilding work is progressing quickly in many villages in Tsum Valley and tourists are certainly welcome there.

I did the trek in August-September (2017), so during monsoon time. High temperature and humidity and muddy trails make the walking difficult. On the other hand, the greenery is lush, the waters are raging and you share the trails only with the locals and the mule caravans. The trek was organized by Exodus Himalaya Treks & Expeditions
