Cesvaine is a cosy town in east Vidzeme, bet known from the very romantic manor from late 19th century once owned by members of the very affluent von Wulf family of landowners. From 1919 until 2002 there was a school that was moved elsewhere after the building was damaged by fire. It is now accesible to tourists, one can observe very romantic views from the main tower.

There is also a very nice hunting lodge called "Grasu pils" not far from Cesvaine that is an excellent, deeply relaxing place for staying a few dsys.
