Farmhouse

Near Asciano, Siena Province

The region where this photograph was taken is known as Crete Senesi, an area south of Siena. It is a vast region which features little
vegetation, and vertical gullies alternate with domes known as “biancane” to create an undulating, almost lunar landscape.
