Puffins On Gull Island

Witless Bay Ecological Reserve

This shot was taken from a fast moving sightseeing boat and is less than ideal. Notice, however, the burrows inhabited by some of
the chicks. We did not shoot from this side of the island. We photographed down toward the puffins
near some steep cliffs.

That's the way I saw them, but with the choppy waters and wind I couldn't hold my camera
with big lens. What a thrill it was to see their communities. Well done Jay.
