From February 19, 2007 through February 23, 2007 I was involved with a group that photographed wildlife at five locations in Florida: Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge located on the Atlantic coast just east of Orlando; the Anhinga Trail located in southeast Florida in Everglades National Park; Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary located between Fort Myers and Naples on the Gulf coast; J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge situated along the northern edge of Sanibel Island off the Gulf Coast south of Fort Myers; and The Venice Rookery in Venice on the Gulf Coast.

I am indebted to a well-known photographer on Pbase, Ronnie Gaubert, for kindly providing me with a great deal of information on using the Nikon 300mm f/4 lens and Nikon 1.7x and 2x teleconverters with the Nikon D200. Without this information it would have been impossible to take a number of the photographs in this gallery.
