Christ Pantocrator work at OLPH Abq., NM

I recently did some patch up work at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church on the Large Christ Pantocrator that is on the ceiling. This is a short explanation of the work that I did.

This is not a Fresco as the original icon was written on a canvas by my mentor and then glued to the ceiling. The blue circles around Christ are to emulate a dome.

The work I was doing over a four day period was re-painting the lighter blue circle and add a red ring. Outside of the red ring are the words to Psalm 102:20.

I used a traditional egg tempra technique to stay in line with "Traditional" Iconography.
