Ruby Beach is the northernmost of the southern beaches in the coastal section of Olympic National Park (it is actually not in the Park but right on the edge). This was an interesting beach with all types of rock formations, hundreds of logs washed ashore, tons of trees, and a mini lake are just a few of the many sights here to see.
Technically, this was by far the most difficult image to produce. The dynamic range required to capture the details exceeded capabilities of any digital camera on the market today by at least 4 to 5 stops. I had to blend 7 images exposed at 2/3rd stop apart to get the look I wanted.
