Once again we were a leader on our block, but several other houses were competitive. We attracted 325 children, parents, and friends this year, and ran out of candy for the first time ever. We consider the night a success if at least one "wee one" is too afraid to come up to receive the candy. There were several who wouldn't even consider it. Our activities were a ghost of our former self when our son planned the event. But, somehow, we can't seem to give it up.
