It's been a very long while since I've had a car that I really wanted. A few months ago I decided I wanted a HHR Panel Truck and I've been looking on Craigslist and Auto Trader, mostly in the southern states cause I didn't want something that had been running in the salt for several years. I found this former Florida car just 80 miles from me. It's been up north for three years but doesn't look like it's ever been in salt. It's the color I want...has the top of the line interior, and in fact pretty much all the available options. These panels came with only two bucket seats up front, but this one has been converted to a have a back seat also. It has the four tail light conversion, lowered springs, and several other modifications. A 4 cylinder motor is all that was available, but at least this one has the biggest one at 145 C.I.D. and 172 H.P...not exactly a neck snapper, but at least it can get out of it's own way. We brought it home today (September 12, 2015) and of Course Eve had to get a few photos taken with it.

Since I've put the HHR in storage for winter, the seats are getting reupholstered, and I've got a wood grain dash kit to install. I've also gotten another line of text for the advertising on the side. Those photos coming as soon as warm enough weather gets here.
The winter of 2016/2017 also brought some upgrades for the HHR...I bought a junkyard steering wheel and sent it and the shift knob out of our HHR to Texas for a 2-tone re-wrap in leather. I also have some more stainless going under the hood and some new and bigger stripper decals. Last but not least is I have removed the chrome exterior door handles and replaced them with paint to match ones. I never liked the chrome handles that were on it.
