The Street Where I Grew Up

Wetaskiwin, Alberta

Actually its 48th. avenue between 55st. and 52nd. street. This is where the war time houses were built and became known as dipper avenue. I lived in the next block up for most part of my early years. On this steet came two well know people, the actor "Jackson Davies" and Gordon Wallis who was captain of the Canadian Forces "Snowbirds". Also one of the riches men in Wetaskiwin used to live on this steet. In those days everyone was your friend and nobody locked their doors. We lived on the good side of town, today that would be a toss up...I lived in two different homes on the same block. Every now and then I drive down memory avenue and let my mind wander.
