"Above and Below the Ice Heave at Pigeon Lake Alberta"

This is kind of an interesting shot taken above and below the same Ice Heave taken at Pigeon Lake, Alberta in Central Alberta.. This year some of the ice heaves hit over 6 feet high and they go for miles.. The lake is so big that when the pressure builds up is easier to heave the ice than the ground around the shore.. They are also known as pressure ridges.. Then this happens the ground shakes like an earth quake and a sonic boom...
