I was looking at this again... It is poetry. Of course the scene is beautiful but to me it is the balance of the composition that makes me realize just how talented you are.

One's eye gets lost in the distance. A very strong emotion overtakes...you are a master of holding the viewer tightly in the grip of majestic nature. ~V~

Great scene with the foreground so sharp and white and the background in a mysterious haze. V

You had some serious snow creating a wonderful feel - the contrast of the red sanstone is, although very stark against the snow, a pale reflection of what it becomes when setting sun hits it. I have seen the light! Nice work must have been a tough hike.
Colin Storey26-Jan-2013 20:19
Fantastic winter scene, perfectly composed. v
Carol E Sandgren26-Jan-2013 19:33

The canyon goddess fell asleep for long months and only her rock lips with a snow ornament overtake from her wintry veil... Wondrous poetic image, Marcia. BV.
Walter Otto Koenig26-Jan-2013 15:55
The rock looks a bit like a frown. Great atmosphere with the fog. "V"
