05042007 cause and effect

Pooches of the world, let me ask you - could there be anything better in life than rolling on a wonderful pile of sheep poo when out for a long walky on a beautiful Spring day? Of course not!
And of course the Dads all want to know "Why do pooches do it?" Well, friend pooches, let's keep our reasons secret. Humans can't know everything!
Although...
... if Dad DID know why I do it, would I still have to go through a nasty bath every time I roll in something delectable? Like I had to today?
What do you think?

Want to try a roll in the fresh cow poo we have at our place Pooch - I'm sure
Dad and Mum will LOVE you then - they'd be fighting over who gives you the bath!

Yes, but it's very athletic. Pooch is practicing to be a gymnast in his spare time! What a hoot. Great image.

My Roxie (she's gone now) rolled in a dead seal on the beach once. We had a two hour drive home before she got a bath!

I hear Lynx are bringing out a new sheep poo shower gel and deodorant set ;-)

LOL. That is too cute. Pepper loves to do that as well, in fact, if she finds a treat she really likes, she'll roll all over the treat as well. heh.

What do dogs and horses know that humans don't?
Coleen Perilloux Landry05-Apr-2007 17:59
Lol, it keeps the skunks from attacking.

Great shot of something that most all us doggy mommies and daddies have seen our furkids do. Maybe not necessarily a roll in sheep poo, but defintely something just as "fragrant".

And yes, the end result is a bath!!! It doesn't matter why the roll was necessary. That smell isn't staying!

Thanks for the smile.

it's good for your fur and because you're worth it
