03062006 meet "hippo"

It has been too hot for me today and I have been quite grouchy and lethargic. Dad took me to get a haircut early this morning when it was still cool. Then I had to sit still while Mum put the monthly "spot-on" flea treatment on me. I suppose it's better than having fleas biting me especially as I'm allergic to them.

After that I was glad to be left in peace in the garden. I spent an enjoyable hour spying on next door's new kitten through the fence. He has a striped tail and looks a bit like one of those tigers I've seen on the telly - but much smaller of course.

This evening instead of getting my football out, Dad produced a rustly bag which smelled of the pet shop... and inside was Hippo! We had a wonderful tug-of-war that ended with Hippo's 'smile' coming loose. I keep nosing and mouthing Hippo to try to get him to squeak - Dad can make him squeak and it is very exciting. I've cheered up this evening as it's cooler and I've got a new friend!

Very cute shot of Pooch in his deep sleep having Hippo dreams.

Lovely portrait of Pooch sleeping. The "echo" between Pooch's and Hippo's poses is really funny.

It's usually a bad sign when I start seeing pink hippos...

Are you playing with hippo in your sleep? :-)
That's OK pooch about hippo's smile becoming loose, you can always ask mum nicely to put hippo's smile back on his face.

Looking at you Pooch, I think I will follow your lead and go take an afternoon nap.

Sweet dreams, Pooch! You may rest easy- - you have no "brother" to steal Hippo!
