Dad: We bought a new bed the other day, and Pooch finds it very comfortable! He looks cosy, doesn't he? :-)

We're not sure how he's doing health-wise. We think maybe it could go either way. His hospital tests
showed he has an antibiotic-resistant bladder infection, although he's not showing any signs of
pain or discomfort at all. It's being treated with an obscure antibiotic which the bacteria are
still sensitive to 'for now' (as the vet put it!). When the infection has cleared up, the tests for
his kidneys will be repeated again, to see how much function he has. Then we'll decide what to do.

Pooch is comfortable and peaceful in himself, but is off his food which is unlike him. It may be
the antibiotics are making him feel a bit queasy. We managed to persuade him to eat supper by adding
some cooked salmon fillet (which he loves) to it. Hopefully the antibiotics will work and he will
perk up a bit again, but we'll have to wait and see.
