"A fascinating life cycle
Butterflies and moths are always among people’s favourite insects, and never fail to impress. Their graceful flight and bright colours are always attractive, but there is more to it than that. Their life cycle is also a fascinating saga. From caterpillar to chrysalid and then to butterfly or moth, they undergo a series of spellbinding transformations. This is your chance to take a front-row seat and examine the different steps in his marvellous metamorphosis, guided by our enthusiastic activity staff. You can get a close-up look at caterpillars, enjoy the chrysalids and admire the spectacle as hundreds of Butterflies Go Free." -Montreal Botanical Gardens website team.
gallery: AUTUMN IN THE LAURENTIANS
This is along one of my favourite trails called the "The P'tit Train du Nord". The cycling trail, 187 km long, is built on an abandoned railway line north of Montreal and heads into the Laurentian Mountains. This part of the route goes from Val David south.
