Great Horned Owls are hard to find on Plum Island and when I found this one, it was treat. It was difficult to take its picture, as I had to stay on the road and did not have my longer lens with me. The picture was taken with a 70-300mm lens through a spotting scope. At the time I didn’t even know if the bird was in the viewfinder and took the picture blind you might say.
