Ladybird Beetle Eats Aphid
16-JUN-2006 Peter Hollinger

Ladybird Beetle Eats Aphid

on a Rose Bush

The tip of the shoot was covered in aphids.
I saw the beetle on a nearby plant so I
carried her over for a feast.

I think it's Harmonia axyridis, the common
"cultivated" Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle.

Great shot! I guess the aphids are like M&Ms and come in all new colors now!
