Day Trip to the NC Mountains - May 20, 2008

Last week I went on a business trip to western North Carolina. It was a very short stay, but I was able to make a few stops including some overlooks along the BRP. Since it was a loooong way back home I stay over at Cathy's for the night. We went on a hike that afternoon to Turkey Pen Gap trail and found some nice surprises....

Excellent gallery, KT! Wish I could have been there. I photographed R. vaseyi in that vicinity several years ago, and I was blown away at their beauty.
