Nearing the parking lot I stopped by again at the overlook. The lighting was really
pretty. Many times the on a sunny day the scenery here looks harsh and washed out especially
from late morning to late afternoon. Today however the ingredients came together just right.
The late day sun and clouds gave a soft illumination of the early spring greens along the Neuse.
It was a fitting conclusion to a most enjoyable day in scenic North Carolina.
