I have good experience with Hairgrass growing in sand. But is was important that the sand wasn't too fine. The sand on this picture was normaly not so good but it still works. Very white sand from a Belgium manufactor (AquaticNature). Regards, Oliver

Hi! I simply love your beautifully scaped tanks. Have a question about this though. Did the hair grass managed to do well being planted in sand? I've tried it before but they didn't thrive and died off soon after. Any tips? By the way, any particular property of the sand you used? (I don't have that in my local stores) Thanks!

No thats alle picture I have. I covered sand intentional because I want to make a snow effect. Only for fun. Yes the plant is Hairgrass (Eleocharis acicularis) Best regards, Oliver Knott

A few more question, are there any more pictures of this tank? Why on the picture in day 31 does most of the rocks seem to be covered in sand? Is that hair grass in the tank?
