Wenn ja, wie lange soll man so ein Ding (und vor allem wann) anlassen? Ich bin absoluter Neuling und kurz davor mir auch so ein tolles Aqua einzurichten... Du kannst die UV Lampe die ersten 4-6 Wochen anlassen und dann wenn Du neue Fische einsetzt. Und nach Bedarf. Ich lasse teilweise die UV ständig mitlaufen und habe meistens wenig Probleme zwecks den Nährstoffen, ggf. etwas mehr düngen. Mfg, O.Knott

How do you avoide it? Sometimes I have big problems with algae and sometimes no problem with it, in the first 2-3 weeks. In this tank the first algae coming after 8-10 days. I remove them mechanical (suck of the algae) and reduce the light down to 6 hours at the day. After 14 day I put in Otocinclus (15-20 pieces) and Amano shrimps (30-35 pieces). Very important was the waterchange every 3-4 days in the first 4 weeks. When the fast growing plant are growing well they push back the most of the algae sorts. The plants like Glossostigma and Cyperus are very susceptible relating to the differnt algae. Because they need much light but the grow not realy fast. But when the water condition are ideal they grow healthy. Best regards, Oliver best regards,

I would like to ask : How do you avoide the development of alge during the first 2 weeks of this aquarium establishment. With such high level of light and the little plants (yet to grow)alge usualy tend to be a problem. How do you avoide it? best regards, YOSSI
