We had a substantial rain all afternoon yesterday. Some say it's a remnant from Hurricane Isaac. The heavy rain bands (with those yellow and red areas) stretched all the way down to Kentucky. When I checked my rain gauge this morning it was recording 2.8 inches since noon on Tuesday. Officially the total is 2.64 inches as recorded at the airport. That set a rain record that dates back to the 1873 when we received 1.37 inches in a single day.
