Jon Fee (from Rum Diary) called me up one day, back in May, and spent about 10 minutes explaining how much he liked the new record by these guys. He did a pretty decent job of convincing me that I should see them if I got the chance. I took these shots at the release party for their new CD, "More Deep Cuts", at the Rickshaw Stop. I must admit, I wasn't conviced by the first and second songs that this was going to change my opinion of 'sleep rock'. The third song turned that around, and the rest kept it moving int the right direction. I really enjoyed their set. Sometimes it takes a little while for new ideas to be fully accepted.
