Located in Spring in northeastern Harris County, the Cypress Creek library is just one of many libraries in the Harris County Library System. The original library was built in 1976 and this newer building was officially opened in 2002 and named for the first lady, Barbara Bush. After watching a program about George Washington on the History Channel, I decided to read up a little on the American Revolution. I picked up The History of the American Revolution by John R Alden. It was very gratifying to see the library full of people, parents with their children making use of the facility.
