A return to the Eagles on the Red...after searching for some time I was able to locate the nest...difficult to see now that the leaves are out. Making my way through the fallen trees and river mud,I found a clear view of the nest. Every once in a while I could see a head pop up and down. She wasn't going to be moving out of the nest...where my thoughts. After an hour of waiting and just as I was about to leave...a helicopter can be heard,it seemed to be over head. For what ever reason it was infact flying low down the river.
The next instant a Great Bald Eagle is on the rim of the nest and takes to flight...I know that she will return in time and I wait in the shadows on the river bank floor for her return...not to be disappointed.
