The last of the nest sites have now been cleaned and secured for the winter...only five months till we again open up for their return.
Geeez, this reminds me of having multi summer homes...just glad there is no grass to cut !

Last report finds the transmitter chicks in Iowa, and in different parts of Texas and Mexico.

This summer we had a floater male called Smiley that was hustling the females in West Wpg. & HSC until the males returned...he spent the summer just a flap, flap from my back door.
He's spent the last couple weeks with the female from HSC...it appears the she has now left for warmer climates.

During nestbox clean up on Nov 7th. he was spotted and permitted a short photo shoot.
