This owl watching is tough work...ploughing through knee high snow trying to get as close as you can with a clear shot (branches grrrr)
only to have the owl find something more interesting than having his photo taken and fly off to even a farther tree.
After stomping down the ditch and boots full of snow, it was time to refuel and warm up.
With a cup of soup in one hand and sandwich in the other I watched him glide across the opening and land next to me on a post in the ditch.
The soup went out the window and the sandwich on the floor.
Then a frantic camera grab...click, click, click.
