After hearing of a Hawk Owl sighting my shutter finger was getting itchy...first I needed to clear the build up of snow from the last couple day's. My wife's job jar was empty or can wait...I was off work and we had clear blue skies with no wind...perfect !

This location is normally a Hawk Owl Hot Spot...they have been difficult to find this year, and I can only think that it's perhaps food related.
Perhaps the lack of snow this year has made hunting in the forest easier and they didn't need to leave their home hunting grounds !
Just my thoughts.
