Moses Bridge - Lee County

A 148 ‘ Pratt Through Truss Bridge is on display in a park in city of Dime Box, Lee County, Texas. Around 1911 or 12. It was built by the SP railroad for the Moses Family. The Moses place, was a Stephen F. Austin land grant homestead that was to be split in half by the SP railroad. Asa P. Moses insisted that SP build a bridge to accommodate the movement of cattle, horses, tractors, etc. from one section of property to the other. Later it served as a way in and out of town. It was in service till the late 1980’s. Moved to the park, it was dedicated to the Moses’ in 1999
