A restored Whipple through truss bridge spanning high above the Guadalupe River, in new Braunfels, Comal County, Texas. This bridge, built in 1887 by the King Bridge Co., of Cleveland Ohio, has 2 220-foot center sections and 2 smaller Pratt Through Truss approaches. It is all pin connected and finely decorated. Amazingly it still has its plaques and finials and is a beautifully restored bridge. It should stand as an example of what can be done with these old bridges.
