Magnified more than the prior shot, you can see the buildings at paradise, the visitor center on the left, hotel on the right, climbing and ranger station in the center.
That is what I understand, the Paradise Ice Caves are long gone, and the Nisqually Glacier I understand use to come down to the highway over the Nisqually River, has now receded above Pardise, about 1 mile and 600' in elevation or more. I think the carbon galcier on the Northwest SIde is the only glacier not in retreat.
Nisqually Glacier is the lowest glacier in the photo, extending down toward paradise, not sure exactly at what point it ends and the river starts but would guess that where it narrows significantly it starts reflecting the river brightly from the sun? ( (old?) Topo map shows it is ends about 2/3's down from Pano Pt to Paradise)
