High & Mighty

My life long passion is flying. I was lucky enough to steer that passion into a full time job, first as military pilot and now as an airline pilot.

One of the profession's perks is that your office window view is constantly morphing into incredible scenarios. I always found aviation to be the perfect ground to harvest great pictures.

This gallery collects pictures related to aviation in general. The title comes from an Ernest Kellogg Gann novel: "The High and the Mighty". It’s not a masterpiece, but I read it when I was 14 or 15 and it really sunk into my young “aviator-to-be” heart.

Fui suficientemente feliz para realizar o meu sonho, primeiro como piloto militar e, agora, como piloto de linha aérea.

Um dos privilégios da profissão é ter uma "janela de escritório" que se transmuta de forma constante em cenários incríveis.

Sempre considerei a Aeronáutica o terreno perfeito para grandes colheitas fotográficas.

Esta galeria contém fotografias relacionadas de um modo geral com a Aviação.

O título é o de um livro de Ernest Kellogg Gann, "Alto e Poderoso". Não se trata de uma obra prima mas li-o com 14 ou 15 anos e enterrou-se para sempre no restrito domínio dos meus "afectos aeronáuticos".

what type of camera do you use mate? Those are stunning pictures. Everytime i attempt to take airial photographs I get blurred pictures. Excellent photoes. My Favorite is "Peer Pressure"

This is great, you have some absolutely outstanding shots here. If I may make a suggestion, I would slim down the collection, maybe break it up into different gallerys as I think this would make the presentation more powerful....! Excellent work, very enjoyable, Cheers, Lisa

Captain Nunca duvidei do seu extremo bom gosto, mas, confesso, estou surpreendido com estas fotografias que além de terem uma qualidade extrema são de uma beleza única e capazes de deixarem sem respiração qualquer um!!Tenho de lhe dar os meus PARABENS ao vivo e ainda bem que vamos voar juntos de novo para podermos tirar umas fotos..Abraço do amigo Pedro Teixeira..gostei da dica "pilots do it better"
