Amsterdam & Outskirts
A series of photos taken on some visits to Amsterdam. As you can see, photo opportunities are abundant in this very special city.
Recently, I started adding some photos from some visits to the city outskirt’s as I stay there sometimes in night-stops, with some time to spare.
These can be seen on their specific sub-galleries, together with a sub-gallery dedicated to 2009´s "Queen's Day".

I lived there for 17 years and I can assure you that you captured things very well! Great job!!!
excellent collection. the dutch sure love their bikes!
hey! that's my city! very nice work, capture the spirit of the place very well!
Great gallery! Full of sharp and wonderfully vibrant images!
Excellent work ~ keep it up!
Kind regards, Chris
It's funny that I recognise in some of those things that stroke me the first time I came to Amsterdam and I don't 'see' at all anymore.
Picture 365 indeed is an example of that. After a few months, you don't pay attention anymore to those.

So many places in Europe have their own uniqueness. Quite different than the U.S. Your Amsterdam photos remind me of the times I spent there. Nice shots.
Excellent photographs, I really enjoyed them. Makes me want to visit again.
Thanks for stopping by my gallery also.
Best Wishes. Chris

Nice pictures, but too many on the level of 'snapshots' from a holiday.
Great to remember Amsterdam, bycicles, boats and so on. Some interesting viewpoints also.
Be more selective in what you want to see as 'art'.
Btw. .. at the time of writing this, I had no time for looking at your other gallerys, so this comment only applies to Amsterdam.

Great album, I enjoyed looking trough all the photos, typical Amsterdam :-)
This one is my favorite 0365

The photographer invited me to comment on this gallery. My advise would be to narrow down the selection. That would make the good pictures in this gallery stand out better. The Rijksmuseum has an extensive website, so why show us the Nightwatch here? And three shots of the yellow boat is too much. 0184 with the bridge in the background is the best in my opinion.
You definately captured a few major elements of Amsterdam in this galley. The bikes alongside the canals, the trams and the people cycling. I like pictures 0219, 0347 and 0351 (where else than in Amsterdam would you see this? :) ) My friend Chris has done a few nice pictures of the city last year. Check
if you want to see them. Perhaps they will inspire you to do some similar pictures.
interesting attempt to capture the "atmosphere" of amsterdam.... Two major elements are represented here: trams and bikes but two things also are NOT in these pictures: the masses of people and the sinking of the city (as seen in the crooked old edificases, etc.)
