Draganizer Action

Draganizer was developed from a compilation of the suggestions and ideas presented on the DPReview Forum for creating the Dragan effect. Credit for the workings of this action go to the many who contributed in this pursuit. The amazing thing about the Dragan effect is its versatility. There seems to be no one true way to do this. The results you achieve will vary with your choice of images and with the many adjustments made along the way. I wrote the action just to simplify the application of this great effect.

One interesting thing I've found is that the effect can be applied to many different types of images---not just portraits. I've posted a variety of different types of images here with the Draganizer applied. Don't forget to experiment with this!

I used your action for the first time last night, and while the results were not as good as yours, it was absolutely amazing. I obviously just need more time to experiment.Guys, when you download the file, go to where you saved it, and extract the file. It will then show up in photoshop actions and work. Kezza

I have installed the draganizer action into my actions folder in PD and it shows up, but the playback option is grayed out and I cannot get it to play on any of my images. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it. I really like the effects shown.

Robin, when you have the action downloaded on your pc in a folder, open photoshop, click on your actions tab, then notice the tiny arrow near the top right of you palette, click it, go down to load Actions, then a window will open, find the place where you downloaded the action to and select it...all done.

sharon ... as most of the users, i am also amazed the output you have received using your action ... may be this requires a bit more understanding of the PS, but even replicating the same photo seems not to produce the result as you got here ... so would be great if you can share the tricks and tweaks with any particular photo, that you posted here, as an example ... take care, sourav mail: guitariban@gmail.com

this is a very cool action but when i put it into my actions folder like i do with all my other actions it just makes a list so does this action not do it itself?? please respond anyone. just email me cassiethepug@gmail.com

I downloaded the draganizer zip file, and unzipped it. I am not sure how to get it to work. Is it an add-on filter in Photoshop ?? I would surely appreciate it if someone could help me out here as I really like the effect and have some photos that I would like to try it on. Many thanks Mike

Hi sharon, I've been very enthusiast with your draganizer action, but I'm somehow missing something as I cannot get the same results as your pictures above. They are simply amazing. I've even tried to copy paste the original 'old lady picture' and tried to apply the action with results nowhere near yours. Do you mind sharing the tweaking of each step to get the look of the final old lady? thanks so much, I leave my address here if you have time to reply. Keep the good work! dave
