Gary: Also, although the bill in most Hoary's is stubbier it is accented by the birds also having fluffy feathering at the base of the bill which is evident here.

Gary: In my opinion this is a female Hoary Redpoll ( Carduelis hornemanni).It is very "frosty", has stronger white in the secondaries and coverts,very white rump ,no blush of pink in the breast, a longish tail, and although you can't see the undertail coverts well they do appear unstreaked
