Brian passed away July 20, 2011. He was 16. He bravely fought a bone disorder that was named after his case study at The National Institute of Health. He was case #1 of gnathodiaphyseal dysplasia (GDD).
He was gifted an iPad by a childhood friend and the iPad gave Brian back a big part of his life he had lost in late 2009. The ability to communicate with us after he could no longer speak and the ability to text friends and family members.
More importantly, it gave him the ability to record how he was feeling both in type and in art. This evening my wife Carol and I started flipping through his pictures and discovered many drawings we had not seen before.
As our tears flowed, we flipped through picture after picture expressing how Brian felt at that particular time. At the same time, we were amazed by his creativity.
A very touching gallery. Yes, your brave son was certainly very creative, and I love his great use of colour. I feel for you....you must miss him very much.
