For the image on the right, I got smart
and used my tripod. Not too smart, though.
Next time, make sure said tripod is level. ;)
It helps to keep the camera steady even without
a cable release.

Polaroid has the ability to take the mundane
and elevate it. Sometimes, it works and sometimes
not.
