Just a reminder, this project was planned during the term of Pres. Estrada, construction started under Pres. G. Macapagal, and will be finished under Pres. B. Aquino. so to say that this is a project of PNOy is totally wrong. Just setting it straight. And Laguindingan Airport will be awesome!

Yes, its true..soon LIA will be operational and we're proud of, BUT the very main problem is our water supply system, for more than a decade, our elected officials did not even pay much attention to this very basic need to the people of Laguindingan, shame on you!!!!!

In couple years we'll be landing in Laguindingan Airport which is very close to our town. We are very proud to have this huge project built in our town because this will create jobs and add financial prosperity in that town. We are really grateful and looking forward in everything that has accomplished in this project because many people can benifit from it. So, we salute everybody and most especially Rep. OSCAR MORENO to make this huge project happened.GOD BLESS & keep up the good works. See you guys next year... we really missed you.
Guest 10-Sep-2009 11:24
Got some pics from the inside from my last visit (August '09). The main road is complete but still no entry from laguindingan side. It is a nice place to go jogging. Some folks from Laguindingan are early joggers especially on Saturdays. They said, next year is the ribbon cutting of the runway and PGMA's flight will be the first plane to land.
jeanill 06-Aug-2009 06:00
if you landed the airport the house and land from the front is ours
Joy Jaramillo 31-Jul-2009 05:43

vince 04-Jul-2009 01:19
Hello,
I am from this town but now residing abroad and the last time I went home the access road was already done (from the airport to Laguindingan). It took me 20 minutes to jog one way. I have posted some pictures in my friendster (vlegason). They said that the runway will be opened next year before PGMA ends. I can't wait to get a fligt from Manila and land in my hometown.
I.T. RULEZ!! 12-Jun-2009 13:43
do you have any idea what comes next after the Laguindingan Airport establish?? hope the government aware of our security.
michael 04-Jun-2009 07:33
An airport in Laguindingan would increase toursim for the area, not only that a commcerial airport (judging by the size) would increase trade in such harsh economic times.
doming 04-Jun-2009 07:27
laguindingan airport , is awesome (,")

Mera Melaur-Weber 10-Oct-2008 18:38
I could hardly wait until the airport in Laguindingan is done, so I can fly directly there. I'm really excited in this huge project because a lot of people in that town & nearby towns can benifit from it. This is a big potential and big opportunity to all those people living in that town because this would create a lots of jobs and helped a lots of people there. I'm very happy that our town have this kind of oppotunity. I really hope & pray that the projected completion on this project for 2010 won't get delayed.
So long for now ... and HI! to my families, relatives and everybody in Talisay, Mauswagon,

Guest 05-May-2008 18:57
My father Julian Mortola Castanos worked at Philippine Air Lines PAL for many years and I've witnessed as a kid jet planes taking off, touch downs and noticed that we need a bigger airport area not only for runways, I hope our local leaders will act on it sooner because that airport in Lumbia is too small, and not only Cagayan de Oro City is growing but also the rest of northern Mindanao. Looking forward when I get home to the Philippines.
marc jerel 18-Oct-2007 08:49
i hope that project will no longer be stop for some distruction cause im excited about it as one of the residents in moog.
Guest 14-Aug-2007 23:03
I disagree. A heart that is corrupt is always rotten, regardless of the amount that is involved. Mayor Emano is a case in point. Given if he would have been a national official, he would have taken the chance to amass more than he had. His record shows this is not a far off probability.
Guest 02-Jun-2007 15:54
Dear Ladybug, I believe its the purchase of the property and the proper resettlement (reconstruct the lives) of the people concerned that led to a 10 year delay of this very important project. Nonetheless, The cost-benefit analysis shows that the needs of about 1.5 million people in norhtern Mindanao greatly outweighs the interests of a few landowners. So long as the welfare of the affected are taken care of, the rule and needs of the greater number must be served. The people of mindanao are less corrupt than those in Manila.
Ladybug 31-May-2007 05:46
Does anybody give attention to the people who will be displaced by the project? Four communities will be uprooted While a new airport is desirable, the government has the responsibility to reconstruct the lives of the affected people... or are they too busy anticipating the the windfall that the project contractors will give them?
Guest 02-May-2007 08:27
A century airport project we had waited for, nothing happen!
